LightGrid Origin Story

Blue Sky Rental Studios 1996-2015

This is a collection of images made & created in Blue Sky by many of the world’s leading image makers — from Richard Avedon to Annie Leibovitz. Blue Sky, founded by Bill Delzell led the movement in authentic imagery using natural light. With 7 daylight studios, image makers world-wide made this a world-class destination studio. Imagery made here both moved and reflected a world within a world - the Silicon Valley.

Blue Sky People 2005-2015

In 2005 Bill Founded Blue Sky People leading the way in “Real People” imagery. In less than two years, over 15,000 people participated in our ‘Real People’ database. McDonald’s used our real people database to launch their new uniforms in Orlando Florida to their global franchise network.
